Housekeeper/Mommy’s Helper – Weston, CT
A busy Weston family with three children (two teenagers and a 6-year-old) is seeking a reliable and experienced Housekeeper/Mommy’s Helper. This role is perfect for someone organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a combination of household upkeep and light childcare.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Compensation: Up to $35 per hour, based on experience
Housekeeping Responsibilities:
- Clean and organize children’s rooms, music room, TV room, dining room, and basement, including occasional dusting of shelves.
- Tidy and organize children’s closets; occasional assistance organizing the mother’s closet may be requested.
- Handle children’s laundry and ensure beds are made with linens changed regularly.
- Vacuum, mop, and sweep floors as needed.
- Periodically clean windows inside during family travel.
- Restock household supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and toiletries.
- Run errands, including grocery shopping and picking up dry cleaning, when needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen.
The family appreciates attention to detail. The home is generally clean as a cleaning service visits weekly; this role focuses on maintaining that cleanliness.
Childcare Responsibilities:
- Pick up the youngest child (6 years old) from the school bus at 4:00 PM and provide a snack.
- Drive the teenage daughter (13 years old) to tennis practice as needed.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is punctual, responsible, trustworthy, and friendly. Previous housekeeping experience is highly preferred. Strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude are essential for success in this role.
