Job Overview:
A low-key, semi-formal family in Greenwich, CT, seeks a warm, kind, flexible, and easy-going Live-In Nanny to join their household. This role requires someone who can support a family with two young children (a 2-year-old boy and a 3-month-old girl), daily household tasks, and culinary responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a team player who works well with other staff and respects family dynamics. This is a live-in position for Monday-Friday only.

Key Information:

  • Childcare:
    • Provide care for a 2-year-old boy and 3-month-old girl.
    • Prepare nutritious meals for the children, including baby food prep.
    • Manage morning routine, oversee nap times, and engage in age-appropriate activities when children are awake.
    • Assist mom with care for the newborn, as needed.
  • Cooking:
    • Prepare healthy, family-style meals, including Indian, Italian, and Mediterranean cuisines.
    • Follow recipes and prepare clean, nutritious dishes with and without meat.
    • Handle family dinner prep and cleanup.
    • Cook breakfast and lunch for the children daily.
    • A culinary degree or advanced cooking skills are highly preferred.
  • Household Management:
    • Perform light housekeeping tasks, including the children’s laundry.
    • Assist with household organization and daily tidying.
    • Work seamlessly with other household staff
    • Travel internationally with the family to destinations such as Toronto or the Islands (2x per year)
  • Schedule:
    • Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 7:30 PM (live-in during the week).
    • Weekends off; candidate can go home on weekends
  • Salary and Benefits:
    • Starting at $90,000+ per year, based on cooking ability and expertise.
    • Private suite provided.

  • Qualifications:
    • Proven experience as a nanny in a semi-formal household.
    • Exceptional cooking skills, with a preference for those familiar with Indian, Italian, and Mediterranean cuisines or holding a culinary degree.
    • Clean driving record (though driving responsibilities will be minimal).
    • Ability to blend into the background when needed, maintaining professionalism at all times.
    • Comfortable working in a 15,000-square-foot home alongside other staff.
    • Must exhibit a no-ego attitude, warmth, kindness, and flexibility.
    • 3-5 years of recent experience and 3 stellar references (to be verified).
    • CPR certification, or will to receive.
